Welcome to LastLightSafari.org, our online photo album and travel journal of our safari through Africa. We started in Cape Town, South Africa, where we bought a reliable Landcruiser called Lily, who promptly blew her head gasket at hearing she was going to carry us and all of our kit back to the United Kingdom, via Namibia and Botswana, Mozambique, Malawi, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan, Egypt, Libya and Tunisia before crossing the Mediterranean to Europe and the last few thousand miles home.

The trip is a journey that we have been planning and dreaming of for the last six years, and our main aim at the outset was to complete a safari expedition to find and record endangered wildlife in an attempt to highlight the diversity of species that are threatened in the various countries and wildly different environments we will traverse. Thanks to car issues we will also try to provide a useful guide for future drivers on the garages of Africa, and Ollie will see to it that the coffee shops we meet along the way will also be duly tested for quality of coffee and cake provision.

Please have a look at our photographs and news, where we will post up our 'blog' as we go along. And if you would like to get in touch, feel free to leave your comments and we will respond when we have the opportunity. We look forward to hearing from you!
